3rd grade hit a Home Run of a field trip with a tour of Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros! Our bears are swinging for the big leagues! ⚾️
3rd graders completed a Shape Workshop to explore attributes of 2D and 3D shapes!
Kicking off December 1st with a little Grinchy fun and a whole lot of 💚KINDNESS💚 at Buckalew! Our favorite Grinch stopped by to remind our Buckalew Bears that even the coldest hearts can grow three sizes when we choose to be kind, include others, and spread joy.
Happy Thanksgiving from 1st Grade! Today we celebrated with turkey crafts, learning about Thanksgiving and saying what we are thankful for. 1st Grade is thankful for every parent and community member that supports our school.
Did you know that Buckalew has a Turkey Trot tradition?!
For the umpteenth time, our Bears participated in the Buckalew Turkey Trot during specials on the day before the long week off. Each grade level runs a track on the playground and grades 1-4 do it as a class competition. Whoever runs the most laps as a class earns the coveted Turkey Trot trophy FOR THE YEAR!
Back inside, Mrs. Doak leads us in the Turkey Tango, Mrs. Ramirez leads us in Super Turkey when some kids get to help act it out. While this is going on Coach Russell, Coach Traylor, and Mrs. West are calculating scores.

Our 4th graders put on a wonderful evening of Folk Dancing for the 3rd year in a row! What fun to learn about ways to build community, teamwork, and smile for a little while. Thank you friends and family members for joining in during the program as well!
