🎶Kindergarten had a Rock n Roll good time celebrating the 50th Day of school! 🎙️🛼

What an amazing way to celebrate a unit of Bluebonnet learning for these first grade students! Our fabulous Buckalew first grade teachers went all out to create such fun memories as they wrapped up their nonfiction reading unit of the Aztec, Inca, and Maya civilizations.

🏰 Step Back in Time🛡️ Thanks to our amazing room Mom's the 4th Grade wing has been transformed into the Medieval Times. 4th graders are officially setting off on an exciting new adventure in Reading as they begin reading about The Middle Ages!

🔔🎶 Learning through exploration! 3rd graders investigated sound energy using tuning forks, discovering how vibrations create sound and cause movement! We loved bringing science to life through hands-on learning! 🧪✨

4th Grade took learning to NEW HEIGHTS at iFLY! What an AMAZING science-filled day! Our 4th graders participated in hands-on science experiments, awesome demonstrations, and of course… FLYING! There’s nothing better than watching science come to life while making unforgettable memories with the BEST Field Trip EVER!!

🐻💚 It’s always a GREAT day when Orbit comes to school! ⭐ Our Buckalew Bears enjoyed a fun and engaging show with Orbit today, learning about the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Fairness, Responsibility, Respect, Caring, and Citizenship. We loved learning how to put these important character traits into action each day! 💛💚

Our Texas Standard focus this grading period is Caring and Giving, but our Bears put kindness into action ALL year long!

Each grade level leads a community service project, creating posters and sharing announcements to encourage giving! Our projects include:

🧥 Coats for Kids Drive – Conroe ISD Police Department- going on NOW until October 16th
🎁 Children in Santa’s Dreams Toy Drive – Conroe ISD Police Department- December
🥫 Montgomery County Food Drive/Campaign- February
💚 The Bear Necessities – Everyday essentials for those in need in CISD- end of March
🐾 Pet Supply Drive – Helping local animals at Montgomery County Animal Shelter- May

Even our Lost & Found items are donated four times a year! All donations support CISD students or local Montgomery County agencies.

Today we kicked off our very first ever "Beary Best" Character Award Ceremony, celebrating students who have demonstrated Respect & Responsibility—our character focus throughout the first nine weeks!

We are so proud of these students for leading by example and showing what it means to be a Buckalew Bear. 🌟

October 6th is National Coach's Day!!! Buckalew wants to give a special shout out celebrating our amazing PE Coach Russell, PE Aide Mrs. Traylor, and Instructional Leads Mrs. McFarland and Mrs. Williams! 💚💛 🐻
