Mr. Buckalew and Mrs. Crews with 2nd Grade students, May 2006 Buckalew Elementary School was named after Don A. Buckalew, former CISD Board of Education President.  It's doors opened in August 1998 and includes Kindergarten through 4th Grade. Buckalew is proud to be named: a TEA 'Exemplary School' from 1998 - 2010; a 2010 TBEC 'Just for the Kids Honor Roll' recipient; and a 2010 Higher Performing School, as recognized by the National Center for Educational Achievement.
